Stargazing Tours in Mitzpe Ramon
Guided Stargazing Tours in the Ramon Crater Dark Sky Park for Families, Companies, and Future Astronauts
Reconnect with Nature
The skies darken and the desert sands around you fade away as the last rays of the setting sun slip away over the horizon. In the deepening twilight above you first one, then another, then thousands of stars begin to glimmer against the glowing backdrop of the Milky Way. A cool breeze carries the rich aroma of burning cedar from the campfire, mixed with the sweet smell of fresh tea bubbling nearby. Long forgotten are the phone calls and emails, the trappings of the modern world. You are now reconnecting to long-forgotten instincts encoded in thousands of generations of DNA as you experience true nightfall in all of its majesty.
Welcome to the Ramon Crater Dark Sky Park
The Middle East’s Only International Dark Sky Park
Our tours take place in one of the darkest locations in Israel, recognized globally as an International Dark Sky Park.
As a science center, we don’t settle for just looking up. We dive deep into the science behind the spectacle: discovering how stars are born, understanding what they are made of, and exploring the profound connection between humanity and the infinite universe above.
We Provide: Powerful professional telescopes and expert astronomers who have guided tens of thousands of participants. Here, in the deep desert darkness, you will reconnect with an experience as ancient as humanity itself—the magic of the night sky in all its splendor.
Our Activities
We offer a variety of activities, from corporate team building in the desert to marriage proposals in the Ramon Crater and astronomy lectures across the country.

Our Telescopes
Witness the richness of the universe with our extensive telescope collection. Each night, our guides select the best instruments for the specific celestial objects and field conditions, ensuring every participant views the sky with the ideal tools.
10-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain (254mm)
These powerful telescopes might look compact, but they pack a focal length of over 2.5 meters, allowing for immense magnification of up to 400x. With automated tracking software to lock onto celestial objects, these are the perfect tools for an intimate, personal encounter with the wonders above.
16-inch Newtonian Reflectors (406mm)
Known among astronomers as "Light Buckets," these massive telescopes are designed to amplify the light entering our eyes by up to 10,000 times! They allow you to look deep into the cosmos at distant galaxies and tiny nebulae of interstellar gas, far below the threshold of human vision.
24-inch Dobsonian Reflector (610mm)
The Largest Portable Telescope in Israel For those who think they’ve seen it all—meet Deep Space in HD! The enormous mirror allows for light amplification of over 20,000 times and unparalleled image sharpness. See the textures in the Orion Nebula, explore Valles Marineris on Mars, or even spot Neptune and its frozen moon, Triton. (Available for private tours only).
6.1-inch Apochromatic Refractors (155mm)
The "classic" telescope you probably imagine when thinking of astronomy. Its multi-coated lenses prevent chromatic aberration (color distortion) and provide a wide, sharp field of view—perfect for observing galactic star fields, even on bright moonlit nights.
